I am considering retirement but would be interested in part-time or intermittent employment. Is part-time or intermittent employment possible with the Jacobs Team?

We understand some incumbent employees may use the contract transition as a milestone to consider their own transition to retirement. We also understand that many of those who consider retirement may desire to continue to work on a part-time or intermittent basis. We do not know of any part-time or intermittent positions at this time; however, we may identify positions as we proceed through the transition. If positions are identified, you may be able to work part-time on the Jacobs Team; as a member of the Jacobs Reserve Corps; or have the opportunity to provide intermittent support to any of our contracts throughout the country. Please let us know if you are interested in further discussions about these programs. We will be happy to provide you more information and discuss them with you.

What are Jacobs’ security procedures for hiring cleared personnel on this contract?

Once a candidate completes their pre-screen, Jacobs Security must perform due diligence to confirm clearance status. Candidates cannot be briefed until we have received a signed offer of employment with a confirmed start date. This verification/check does not have any adverse impact on the candidate’s clearance. Once an offer has been signed and before the candidate starts at Jacobs, we are required by the government to pick up the clearance the security database, and cross over the accesses to Jacobs and the Lone Wolf program. During this process and only after the candidate has given their notice of departure to their current employer, Jacobs will give the start date to the appropriate security office so the change does not occur early. This process will ensure minimal disruption to the candidate’s employment as well as continuous access to secure workspaces.
