Yes.
Once transition starts, the job openings for GEODS will be posted on Jacobs.com. The current workforce will be given first consideration for open positions. A deadline will be provided for the current GEODS workforce to apply. After that date, requisitions for positions will be made available to outside applicants. Our intent is to hire the existing GEODS workforce. We are highly interested in you coming to work for the Jacobs Team. If there are open positions after the task order is reviewed against the incumbent applicants, any remaining unfilled positions will be filled in accordance with Jacobs’ procedures.
If you currently work on the GEODS contract and are interested in joining the Jacobs Team, we ask that you fill out an application online.

No, we will work with each incumbent to ensure that we are able to hire them for the correct position.
For the GEODS contract, Jacobs has a set program management office. Our goal is to hire as many incumbent employees as possible. This includes the group leaders, supervisors, and other local leaders early to assist in the transition of the task orders.
It is our intent to have as little disruption to the customer and the workforce and to keep employees in similar roles as they were on the GEODS contract.
Please provide as much detailed information as possible on your application. We are also expecting a list from the contracting office with the names of the active task orders that you are currently supporting.
In general, the positions should be similar to the former positions.
We understand some incumbent employees may use the contract transition as a milestone to consider their own transition to retirement. We also understand that many of those who consider retirement may desire to continue to work on a part-time or intermittent basis. We do not know of any part-time or intermittent positions at this time; however, we may identify positions as we proceed through the transition. If positions are identified, you may be able to work part-time on the Jacobs Team; as a member of the Jacobs Reserve Corps; or have the opportunity to provide intermittent support to any of our contracts throughout the country. Please let us know if you are interested in further discussions about these programs. We will be happy to provide you more information and discuss them with you.
